Do you allow night fishing?
Yes, we allow 24 hour fishing on all our lakes, however you must call us first and notify us of your intention to night fish and the date and time of your arrival. We reserve the right to refuse night fishing at any time.
Do you allow parties of pleasure anglers, greater than 5, to pre book pegs? Do these pegs have to paid for in advance?
Yes we do, please give us a call and arrangements can be made. All matches have to be paid in advance.
How many rods can I use?
Anglers may use a maximum of 3 rods on each peg, these are charged at an extra £2 rod.
Are there any bait bans on the coarse lakes?
There are no bait bans but please be sensible. All the rules are found on the
rules page.
Can we use keepnets?
Yes we allow keepnets, however fish must only be kept in the nets for a maximum of 5 hours. Please return large Carp straight to the water.
Do you have any equipment for hire?
No, we do not have any equipment available for hire but you can purchase an inexpensive whip at the tackle shop which you will soon catch a few fish with.
Are there toilets?
Yes, toilets are located in the café, there is both a gents and ladies toilet.
Can you send me a brochure?

How do I get there?
What size is the water?
The lakes vary from half an acre to 3 acres in size.
Approximately how many fish does it hold?
No need to worry there are plenty of fish to catch and it is restocked regularly.
What size do these fish go up to?
A carp just under 30lb was caught in Gillen Spring last year.
What do I need to take?
You can take as little as a rod and landing net. Don't forget you need an environment agency licence if you are over 12 years old.
Is there accomodation?
Yes we have an ongoing deal with the Ramada Jarvis hotel. Also check the

Can I take my wife (guest) along?
Yes guests are welcome to sit at the peg.
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs on a lead should be ok.

Bait is available to buy at the café, see

What tackle would be best (line, leads and hooks)?
15lb line 3-4oz leads 6's & 4's Safety Clips.
How do I get started?
