See the links below for maps & information.

Skidby is a small but attractive village best known for the magnificent windmill which is now owned by the local authority and is open to the public on certain days. The walk starts opposite the tiny village church and follows the tracks and headlands to a minor road. After walking round the wood the walk enters Risby Park, which belonged to the Risby family until 1401 when it passed by marriage into the Ellerker family. The father and his three sons were knighted on the field of battle for their gallant behaviour at Flodden Field. The earthworks of the medieval village of Risby can be seen in the field to the north of the minor road.

Walkington is a tidy and picturesque village with an attractive duck pond. Once a year the Walkington Hay Ride is held and numerous vintage carts and old wagons proceed in convoy from Walkington to Beverley via Bishop Burton. The participants dress in Victorian costumes and the whole event is very enjoyable, try not to miss it.
